Like most people at this time of year, I set off with all good intention to improve my life in some way. Yet many of the aims I have seem to fall by the wayside very early on. Why is this?
The resolutions we set at the start of the year are always freely made, yet something just doesn’t quite stick. Perhaps the deeper motivation isn’t really there? Or the’re declared to the world when we are caught up with festive cheer and life simply takes over when we get back to everyday life? Or maybe the old habits are simply so strong we slip back into ‘automatic’ behaviour before we have had the chance to affect the changes we desired?
