The Olympics in London has drawn to a close and Team GB cyclists have dominated the velodrome yet again.
The coach, Dave Brailsford, went on BBC Breakfast last week and shared the secret to their success by saying:

The whole principle came from the idea that if you broke down everything you could think of that goes into riding a bike, and then improved it by 1%, you will get a significant increase when you put them all together

He even mentioned washing hands as one thing that the team had focused on, making sure that the possibility of illness was minimised by excellent hygiene.
