In the course of researching material for an upcoming leadership programme, I stumbled across this short video in which Dr. Jonathan Camp discusses the book A Failure of Nerve by Edwin Friedman and wish to share it with you.
The book presents the concept of differentiation, or the ability of a person to maintain a strong sense of “self”. A well-differentiated leader is able to resist the lure of emotional triangles and influences others to take responsibility for themselves.
